About Quiet Atlas

Quiet Atlas is an independent digital-guide project for people who would rather look closer than rush through a list of landmarks.

Starting in Portland, we’re bringing together photography, researched history, and self-guided walking routes through overlooked architecture and atmospheric places. The first planned edition, Portland in the Changing Light, follows the city through suggested viewing times, historical notes, and a connected walking route.

These guides are for independent travelers, photographers, history enthusiasts, and locals seeking another way to see familiar streets. No group schedule or perfect photograph required—just curiosity and a little room to wander.
